This scrabble board is very attractive and modern looking. However, we have only played on it three times and not only are the tiles losing their initial non-slip ability, but the non-slip material on the tiles sheds all over the board! This makes the board feel gritty and look dirty. We are going back to the old plastic board with turntable that has grids to keep the tiles in place. Very disappointed in the overall usability of this set, especially given it's big price tag!Do better research than I did before buying this. A real Scrabble timer works like a chess clock- each player gets 25 minutes, so the timer keeps track of TOTAL time for each player. This is just a timer that you set to from 1 to 3 minutes- worthless for duplicating tournament play.This is quite a simple book, being a collection if score sheets for scrabble in a book form with a pencil and loop to hold it. Pretty much exactly what I sought, and I bought a couple of others copies elsewhere after finding them locally. I have reservations about their build quality though, as two copies look as though the whole bundle of pages will come loose with a visible gap. I've tried re-gluing one but there is still a gap between the spine and pages. There seem to be extra layers of paper in places. If I have more trouble, I'll try some double sided tape with foam in the middle to fill the gaps.The product does not fit the board for the scrabble game I purchase from Amazon. com. Approximately the turntable measure 14 x 14, the board measured 14 x 15. The company did not have a board available to fit the turntable. Otherwise, the turntable appears to be of suitable quality.I like it but it wasn’t wide enough for our board so it doesn’t hold the board. I like the concept but not the right size.This is a little flimsy but does the trickIt definitely works!! Snaps together easily, fits the board.Turns with ease---simple and effective.All players can view the board.Does what it is suppose to !My Scrabble board is over 20 years old, but in excellent condition. As recommended by other reviewers I measured the board before ordering. It fits perfectly and makes playing the game much more enjoyable. Being able to turn the board to see the words properly is brilliant, I can get bored trying to lean and move the board. My 7 year old grand-daughter has started to play the adult version of Scrabble, but, bless her, tends to move the tiles, making a word etc. This turntable is very good, folds easily to store and is excellent value. I didn't know this existed until I looked for an up to date word checker. Highly recommended, especially for impatient players!I ordered this as a Christmas stocking filler for my son to go with his Scrabble and Scrabble Trickster games. Unfortunately it is useless. Made of wood, it does not sit flat on the table, wobbles terrible, and quite frankly, it is easier to turn the board without this device than with it.My mum used to have a plastic turntable which was flat and sat under the board perfectly, making it very easy to turn. Why did they think changing to wood that is far too chunky and wobbly was a good idea???Don't buy this - you'll find yourself deciding not to use it again after one game, like me.Bought as a present for another enthusiast, since I already have my own that works superbly. THIS new one has 3 particular faults, which make its functional movement very poor.One of the two cross-pieces is warped, making a slight, but crucial hump in the middle. Also two of the small end pieces, one on the end of each arm, are misaligned, preventing the attached wheels from going round properly.Pity because its such a simple idea. Hope to get a substitute, because this should be much better.This item is expensive for what it is, having said that it makes it much easier to turn the board. It fits standard board. It’s a little wobbly but the tiles stay in place. I’m glad I got it but it should have been cheaper.What a delight to find the Scrabble board turntable on Amazon. It arrived in good time for us to take on holiday and we used it well. Completely functional in fitting the board so it can be turned around easily for each player - I did my homework by first reading other reviews and carefully measuring the board prior to placing the order. The packaging was fun as it arrived in a large impressive-looking box - now I know what to send to relatives direct for gifts:) Highly recommended.
