I purchased this book as an educator and IT administrator who is already 100% invested into the idea and developing video game activities within the school.With this book you receive a hard copy of a great collection of activities/games to follow and model within your own classroom or institution. The author provides a variety of games and platforms to utilize, like PC (with many cloud options), mobile, Nintendo, PlayStation, and Xbox, and even providing options for students who may not want to play themselves.The author also directs you to their website with a ton of additional content for you to further dig into. All in all, I am very satisfied with this book and I will be taking a look for more work by this author and publisher.If you are an self-starter innovator or an expert, you will receive a high quality resource with standards and sources that you can reference in meetings and trainings. If you are a beginner you have many examples of how activities can be structured and you have a text that introduces you to many new options for games/activities and the thought process behind putting games in your classroom.A few criticisms - Apostrophes seem to have turned into ">" in many parts. The Standards feel poorly laid out and organized. The resources seem to be links, but the sources are never identified. If I am to find a resource myself, I would like an author or publisher to help speed up the process. Right now everything is just an underlined title.
