Caveat: I haven't worn this in the rain yet so I can't speak to how waterproof it is etc.I LOVE this coat, purchased in size large. I'm 5'4, 150#, busty (36 DD) with an hourglass shape and average size waist, hips & butt. It fits me in such a slim, flattering way--makes my waist look small, which it isn't--and this is hard to do with a raincoat!! It has a subtle stretch to the fabric, just a little give. The chest does fit me (not always easy to do) but if I was any bustier it would probable feel too tight in the chest. I like the longer length--makes it look a bit dressier when needed, and would also be helpful in an actual rainstorm I imagine. It has the look of a slightly sporty but tailored trench coat. The fabric has a lovely matte finish with a subtle almost tweed-like texture. It is lightweight, but substantial, not heavy. Very smart and neat looking, suitable for jeans or for dressing up more. It has a nice belt that you can wrap around and buckle, or tie, or remove. Pockets zip, and have outside snap flaps also. The hood is adjustable and easily removable. The coat has a bit of a stiff zipper, but it unzips from the bottom too, which can be very nice if you are sitting. The velcro closures over the zipper annoy me a little but I can overlook that for such a functional, nice-looking and versatile coat. Even though it is trim-fitting, I was able to layer it over a cami, t-shirt, lightweight knit hoodie, and a sweater I threw on for good measure--because of the slight give to the fabric, it fit over all of that! It was snug, but I wouldn't wear all those layers in real life. (When I say slight give to the fabric, I do mean SLIGHT--don't expect a stretch garment.) I got the purple-y color (don't recall the color name) and it's beautiful--kind of wine/brown/purple. This is exactly what I was looking for.
